Aloha, my name is Bob Doeckel. I grew up in the midwest and taught chemistry and biology for 32 years before retiring in 2016. That year, my wife Lin and I made a two week long “bucket list” trip to Hawaii, which ultimately led to our moving here in 2018. I had been an avid photographer for years, but became a serious hobbyist when I retired. The Islands of Hawaii provide limitless opportunities for artists of all types to capture the beauty, majesty, and wonder of our world. I hope to capture those moments that remain in our minds eye for a lifetime. I specialize in landscape photography but also try to capture anything that illustrates the culture, aloha spirit, and uniqueness of Hawaii!
